In this edutainment experience, you will learn about the physiology of taste and how to evaluate acidity, tannin, residual sugar, and other structural elements of wine. Start building your wine description vocabulary. Attend this fun session to gain confidence in knowing what kind of wines you like and how to describe them. Or use this as the start of your journey into the obsession of blind tasting.

While this event does not include food, our on-site restaurant, The Osteria, will be open if you’d like to come for lunch before the session or stay for dinner afterward and discuss what you learned with your friends or classmates.

Comedy and wine on the Peninsula each month in San Carlos!

On Wednesday, April 16th, Domenico Winery will host a comedy show Grapes & Giggles, where you can sip wine and see comedians featured on late-night TV, Comedy Central, SF Sketchfest, and more!

Before the show, come early and dine in the Osteria. Give yourself an hour to enjoy dinner at this playful eatery and wine bar, drawing inspiration from an aspiring post-war Italy. Dinner reservations before the show are strongly encouraged! Click here to book a table. Food and beverages from the Osteria may not be brought into the event.

During the show, you can order wine, beer, cocktails, bar bites, and dessert from your server or via a QR code (which helps cut down on talking during the show so that you don’t miss a joke).
